The
Environmental Health Nursing Education Collaborative recently concluded its second semester of work with nursing schools in the Greater Boston Area. This semester four environmental health experts spoke in nursing classes, including:
- Madeleine Scammell (BU SBRP) in a Community Health Nursing class at Boston College
- Ann Backus (HSPH) in a Health Assessment class at the University of Massachusetts Boston
- Stephanie Chalupka (UML/HSPH) in an Advanced Health class at Boston College
- Moly Kile (HSPH) in a Population Health class at the MGH Institute of Health Professions
The goal of the EH Nursing Education Collaborative is to contribute to the education and training of nurses by helping their faculty integrate environmental health into the nursing curriculum. Members of the collaborative include the BU SBRP, Harvard-NIEHS Center for Environmental Health, University of Massachusetts Boston, Boston College, University of Massachusetts Lowell, MGH Institute of Health Professions, and Salem State.
