Dr. David Waxman (Project 3) recently had an article titled "Nuclear Receptor Regulation of Hepatic Cytochrome P450 Enzymes" published in the 2nd edition of the Encyclopedia of Molecular Pharmacology. In this article Dr. Waxman explains the basic characteristics of P450 induction, provides examples of CYP1, CYP2B, CYP3A, and CYP4A induction, and discusses the pharmacological relevance of P450 induction.
